Sessions are held indoor/outdoor depending on weather conditions. Indoor sessions are held in the Straw Bale Building, which is located in the farm's cafè building (left hand side door after passing the farm's main gate). Outdoor sessions are held in the farm's garden (after you enter the farm on the right hand side just before the farmyard's entrance).

Wednesday morning at HACKNEY CITY FARM
1a Goldsmith's Row, E2 8QA - 10 and 11am

Hackney City Farm was established in 1984 and for over 20 years has been giving the local community the opportunity to experience farming right in the heart of the city, offering children and adults the opportunity to get up close to a range of farmyard animals; see, smell and plant vegetables and other food plants; and learn new skills to live a healthier, happier life with a lower environmental impact. Info: www.hackneycityfarm.co.uk

As well as running their own courses and volunteering sessions, the farm is home to various other social enterprises and community groups.

Frizzante Cafè, the farm's restaurant and cafè, operates from 10am, food is freshly cooked on the premises using seasonal ingredients and whenever possible ingredients from the farm gardens. From fresh pasta and salads to Sunday roasts, delicious homemade cakes, locally made Italian style ice-cream and English fruit juices. Frizzante offers fresh, simple and tasty food appreciated by all age groups.
