Notice: Rotherhithe Tuesday afternoon event takes place now at Docklands Settlements Community Centre, 400 Salter Rd, SE16 5AA, at 2pm. The Centre is just one minute walk from Surrey Docks Farm, where the event has been held over the past years. Find below full address and details.

 

Admission to the class is £5 per adult, siblings go free, adults are charged £5 each. (Nannies with more than a child, coming from different families, please get in touch to agree a reasonable deal).
 

Sessions are held indoor/outdoor depending on weather conditions. Indoor sessions are held in the main hall while when outdoor you'll find us in the centre's garden. Please once there refer to the centre's staff should you need help.

The Docklands Settlements Community Centre is a lovely hub for the local community. Details about the many other activities held are available on docklandsettlements.org.uk. The Centre is one minute walk away from Surrey Docks Farm, where the event took place from 2013 to 2019.

Surrey Docks Farm is a working city farm. It occupies a 2.2 acre site on the south bank of the river in Rotherhithe.The farm works with local communities and the people to provide many unique opportunities for people to learn about farming and food production. Animals reared on the farm include a herd of goats, sheep, cattle, pigs, ducks, geese, chickens, turkeys, bees and donkeys. The herds, flocks and swarms are farmed with specific attention to animal welfare. There are a variety of green and horticultural about Surrey Docks Farm areas such as the orchard, herb garden, dye garden, vegetable plots, and the wild area. Fresh food and produce are on sale to the public. Other facilities include an open animal yard, bee room, working blacksmith’s forge and adult education rooms and a cafè.
