Frogprince Baby Music is a live music concept for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. It is based on the most popular nursery rhymes and a multi-instrumental set.It is entertaining but it is also meant to stiumulate creativity, intellectual development and sociability through music activities. It is run through the use of about 10 diifferent real instruments that children can actually touch and familiarise with.

Sessions are held with the intent of helping children develop musical confidence and understanding of the basic elements of music (such as beat, rhythm, pitch, dynamics, melody, harmony, tone color, texture, form), which are presented to them in a simple and entertaining form.

 

Science in the last years has clearly shown how interest in music and music instruments can help, more than everything else, children’s intellectual development, it enhances other capabilities of their brain and helps them develop “neurophysiological distinction” between certain sounds that can aid in literacy.

 

The main purpose of Frogprince Baby Music is to introduce children to music at the earliest possible time and through a cosy and pleasant environment, so that, at a further stage, they could recognise it as something amusing, interesting and inspiring.

 

Sessions run weekly in green, community-oriented and child-friendly locations around the boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Hackney and Southwark and they are held indoor or outdoor depending on weather conditions.

 

Frogprince Baby Music is also curator of the music activities for children at Little Angels Day Nurseries, Islington, Angels in the Park Hackney, The Elephant and Castle Community Hub, Creative Stars Day Nursery Forest Hill and is available for private parties, community events and nursery sessions.
